We are offering this specialist range of non-metallic effect pigments in co-operation with the world’s premier pigment manufacturers, to bring you a product that exceeds standard pearl additives and offers consistent colour, outstanding effect and long term UV stability. The structure of these Spectral Pigments relies on reflection and refraction of light to create stunning colours and effects. It adds a subtle glittering sparkle with incredible depth and stunning colour-changing qualities.

You can create an amazingly broad pallet using our Spectral Pigments in conjunction with standard Plasti Dip colours, Fluorescents and Blazes which look stunning.

The Spectral Pigments minimize fading of the base coat including Fluorescents, offering long lasting UV stability.

Please be aware that the finish can be altered by the following; the amount of pigment used, varying the distance of the spray gun from the car, air pressure of the spray gun, number of layers applied, the nozzle set-up of the spray gun, how you mix the pigment, the angle you spray at and the spray technique.

To achieve the best possible finish we recommend a layered approach.

Here are some useful pointers to assist you…

First, apply your base colour of Plasti Dip as normal. Our illustrations typically show a black base coat, but any colour can be used.
Secondly, apply the pigment effect layer. This is our Spectral Pigment mixed with clear Plasti Dip Sprayable… Our Spectral pigments allow you to subtly alter the intended finish by controlling the ratio of pigment to Plasti Dip; anywhere from 5g to 25g per 5 litre of plasti dip clear Sprayable (plastidip mixed with thinners and ready to spray). This is much lower than for other pigment brands, but allows the maximum light dispersion within these pigments for the highest level of enhancement and offer a glossier sheen. (A higher level of pigment in the mix offers a satin sheen instead). Our Best Results have been a mix of 8 to 10 grams of pigment to 5 Litres of Plasti Dip Sprayable ( 2.5 litre plastidip clear + 2.5 litre thinners).
Thirdly, apply a layer of Plasti Dip Glossifier for a high gloss finish (optional), to make the Spectral Pigments really shine.
Key points for correct preparation and consistent results include; precise measuring and thorough mixing, including wetting out of the pigments. Our Spectral Pigments are packaged in 5 gram portions to make this easier.
